For a long time now, Katie has been interested in many varieties of trucks. It started at our home in Holladay with Fire Trucks. We lived relatively close to the fire station, and very close to a major thoroughfare so whenever the sirens began, Katie would almost hyperventilate with excitement, and be nearly devastated if she missed seeing it. Many times, Katie and Daddy made sprints to the front yard to see the fire trucks go whizzing by. Well, sadly, now that we live in Provo, we rarely hear sirens, and even more rarely see the fire trucks. We've started watching for new trucks that come by. We watch delivery trucks, school buses, and sometimes city buses. Yes, you take what you can get. The new "regular" is the garbage truck. The problem is, in Provo, our garbage is collected between 5:30 and 6:30
AM!! Ouch! Katie has been waking up for a while now to watch our garbage get collected. In the past few weeks, however, she's let her excitement go over the top and she NEEDS to share it with someone. We have been awakened for at least 3 weeks now, on Wednesday morning about 6 am (give or take) by Katie, just HYSTERICALLY screaming for her Daddy!!! He made it in time this week to see the garbage truck, but last week he didn't. It caused quite the crying, sad morning. If you're ever bored on a Wednesday morning around 6 or so, just look out the window. It may be more exciting than you think!!
