Thanks to my parents who "drugged" me too!

She CAN be taught!

Although a bit "menos eficaz" (less effective)---toddler chores can be entertaining.

Katie still thinks it's fun (usually) to do them too!
She is always waiting at my side to have a turn at the vaccuum and broom, etc.
We'll see how long it lasts!

Putting away the silverware can be a bit more taxing,
but Dolly is usually there to help.

Sleep Like A Baby

Sleeping like a baby can be such an oxymoron.

At least when we're talking about MY babies.
BUT, when they do sleep, they are SOOO cute!
And every so often, they fall asleep in the most fun places! :)

As you can see, I can go on and on and on, but I think you get the idea!

Katie-isms

For Family Home Evenings, we have been talking about the Articles of Faith. Katie learned the first Article of Faith quite easily. (She repeats things so often and easily, I figured I might as well have her repeat something good!). She says it "We believe in God, the Eternal Father, and in His son, Jesus Christ, and in his Holy Ghost." They're all related, you know.
Well, we've been working, now, on the second Article of Faith. She has it pretty well learned as well, but if it's the first time she is repeating it for a while, she slips back into her Katie-ism, which is "We believe that man will be punished for his own Woman, and not for Adams trangression." I'm not going to attempt to interpret that for you. Just pity the poor man that is asked to live the law of polygamy. :)

Come Sail Away!

Katie's, and now Amanda's, nursery is decorated in a sailor theme. We have loved the little sailor dresses that we have for the little girls. I suppose the style/trend is changing, however, and we can't find any more sailor outfits. Savor the ones we have. If anyone sees a little sailor dress, let us know. We like to collect cute girls in sailor dresses!! :) Or I guess you can keep your girls but share the dresses!

Sinking In

Katie is quite the little book worm. She loves to read and her new "thing" is that she wants to do the reading. She has many books memorized--and she'll make up to fill in the occasional blank. She likes to mimic story time for Amanda. Amanda, the willing little listener, eats up the attention. Mom loves a few minutes to change the laundry in peace. I guess all the time spend "reading to your child everyday" is sinking in and paying off. I love those girls!
